Dominican Republic Site Directors

Kris and Cindy Anderson have been serving with TIME Ministries in the Dominican Republic since 2010.  After serving on several short-term trips with TIME since the mid 1990s, they followed the Lord’s leading to full-time ministry in 2010.  Their children, Paul and Sofia were born there as well.  They are from Minnesota but met and began their married life in Des Moines, Iowa.  Their sending church is Indianola Heights Evangelical Free Church, Des Moines, IA.

 

Kris serves as the Site Director for TIME DR coordinating the local team, while Cindy oversees group coordination and finances.  Cindy is also the Caribbean Coach for MOPS (Mother’s of Preschoolers) International, and helped to start the first MOPS group in the Dominican Republic.

 

Their prayer for the future is to explore taking the TIME model of missions to other countries to serve pastors and congregations in need.

Monterrey Site Directors Sam and Jessica Olmedo have been married and serving together with TIME Ministries in Monterrey since January 2013.

Sam is from Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico and Jess is from Jonestown, Pennsylvania but they met and married in Monterrey where Jess began serving with TIME in 2006 and Sam in 2012 and have two beautiful daughters, Grace and Mia also born in Monterrey.

Annville United Christian Church in Annville, PA is their home sending church and in Monterrey they attend and serve with Iglesia Nuevo Pacto. Sam focuses on being the site director for Monterrey and coordinates with local pastors and ministries as well as church partners in the United States. Jess takes care of administrative and hospitality for the site and much of her time and attention is focused on their daughters. They have a heart for discipleship and a desire to follow God’s vision to see TIME Ministries grow in order to reach out in our local area and see God glorified and people evangelized and discipled.

Rebecca is originally from York, PA. She went to the Dominican Republic for the first time in 2003 and fell in love with the country and the people. She rejoined TIME as a summer intern, 8 months of serving in the DR, and then she went on a soul searching journey in her life. God reopened the doors for her to return to the DR in 2018 as a missionary intern and officially joined the team in February 2019.

She serves as the American Group Coordinator. She is over seeing all of the scheduling information and organizing the groups coming to the Dominican.

Her prayer for the future is to serve and love how God commands her to. To live a life of example and to share her love for the Dominican and TIME with others.

Enrique Martín Martínez Sobrevilla (Kike) Full-time missionary intern in Monterrey 

Kike is from the north of Veracruz, his parents live on an island they are fishermen.

He is an engineer, graduated from the UANL. He started his process in TIME in 2015. He was a volunteer in the summer of 2015 with Stillwater Evangelical Free Church for 10 days. And in 2016 he was a summer intern m and in October of that year, he became a full-time missionary intern.

Kike is working in the TIME Center in maintenance and projects with the churches.

This year he has been taking English classes. He’s serving in Nuevo Pacto church with the Audio and worship. He’s the logistics director of the Showers ministry and he also drives the Shower’s truck.

Carol Perez has served with TIME DR as a volunteer, summer intern, and now Missionary Intern.  In her current capacity, she works in the office coordinating the finances that allow the team to get work done.  Her awesome language capacity also helps the groups with translation    She is also attending the university studying Administration and is hope to hone her skills for a future as a missionary with TIME.

One of the most recent missionaries, Tyler Prescott hails from Hudson, NH, and has the accent to prove it!  Tyler serves as Sports Ministry Coordinator where he loves to engage youth in basketball, and Construction Coordinator where he assists Noe in the shop. Tyler is one of TIMEs first graduates from the Missionary Intern program, a one-year program designed to train and raise up new missionaries.

Keny has served with TIME for several years, again in the capacity of volunteer, summer intern and now Missionary Intern.  Keny serves in maintaining our facilities, construction, and especially driving the TIME bus, making sure we get to where we need to go safely and QUICKLY!  Keny is studying Industrial Engineering and hopes to take his learned skills to TIME as a missionary, developing systems for construction, maintenance, and more!

Sports Ministry Lead

JC and Crismery have been co-laborers with time for many years.  JC leads our TIME for Sportssports ministry program where he hopes to engage youth with the Gospel and bring them from the court to the church.  He is also TIME DRs marketing coordinator, getting the Dominican pastors STORY to our American church partners and making all our work look like fun!  Crismery serves as our Ministry Coordinator, developing programs that help our American groups share the Gospel with our Dominican Pastor Partners in unique and creative ways.  They have one daughter, Jeanmery.

Pastor Partner Coordinators

Other than Dorretta Brown, Noe and Anyoly are two of the longest serving missionaries with TIME, serving with us since 1992 when Zeral and Dorretta returned to the DR to partner with Pastor Rudy de la Cruz.  Noe serves in several roles at TIME, first as our Pastor Partner Coordinator, helping to locate and vet the pastors that we build chapels for.  In addition, he serves as Construction Coordinator, leading the teams in construction and making sure we have challenging projects!  Finally, he serves as our Volunteer and Intern Coordinator, leading and discipling the next generation of potential missionaries.  Noe also pastors a church in Hatillo, a small town west of Santo Domingo.

Anyoly serves as our Womens Ministry Coordinator, discipling women and leading conferences in the DR and Cuba.  Her heart is counseling pastors wives, but also reminding the TIME team of the hope we have in Jesus and is a wonderful counselor to anyone needing their spirits uplifted.  Noe and Anyoly have three children who also serve actively in the ministry, Megan, William and Elda.

As our TIME DR team has grown over the years, so to has our need to become more organized and responsive to Dominican laws.  Glenda serves as TIMEs HR Coordinator and has been involved with the ministry for several years.  Glenda tirelessly investigates the minutia of labor laws and makes sure our team is treated right and that we render to Caesar that which is Caesars.  Glenda is also a part of our anchor churchs interpretive dance team.  She and her husband Ezekiel have one daughter, Yeshia.

Hospitality Team

Carmin Polanco
Carmin Polanco has been serving with the Hospitality Team for over 10 years, leading that team for the past three years.  She faithfully prepares healthy hearty meals, coordinates food pickup and delivery, and is often here before anyone else is awake, all the while maintaining an attitude of happy service.  She will not allow you to lose weight during a week with time!

Flabia Perez
Serving as our Hospitality Assistant, Flabia keeps our TIME Center, TIME House and grounds safe and clean, and does it with a heart of service second to none.  We often wonder if she has a twin since we see her serving in so many different locations, barely slowing down enough to eat!
